Come celebrate Independence Day with a community potluck to bring together the Asian Pacific Islander community. This community ‘pot-luck’ will take place on Saturday, June 26th from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Clement Park, Shelter G. Please bring a dish to share. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and water will be provided by contributing organizations.

‘9 & Dine’ @ The Ridge

The ACC is hosting our first ‘9 & Dine’ event for 2010 that will be held on Thursday, July 22nd @ the Ridge in Castle Pines North. A shotgun start for 9 holes will begin at 5:00pm and an appetizer buffet and drinks will follow. This event is limited to 40 golfers. The cost is $45.00 per person.

Our annual golf tournament will be held on Thursday, August 12th @ the Ridge and this ‘9 & Dine’ event will be held as a prelude to our golf tournament.

Annual Japanese Community event held at Sakura Square at 19th & Lawrence Streets in Denver. Street fair atmosphere held on June 26th 11am to 6pm and June 27th 11am to 4pm. This festival features continuous live entertainment, arts and crafts, taiko drums, bonsai, ikebana, and other exhibits, a feast of Japanese food and much more.

ACC @ The Isle BAH

The Asian Chamber invites you to our July business after-hours at the Isle Casino in Black Hawk on Friday, July 16th at Kitt’s Restaurant where you can network with fellow chamber members and enjoy a selection of appetizers at this event! Transportation provided by the Isle will depart from the ACC office, 924 W. Colfax Avenue in Denver @ 6:00pm for the casino and return to Denver at 11:00pm. Make a night of it. The Isle is offering ACC members a special $79 room rate for a mini suite which includes two free buffets. To book a room call 303-988-7704 and ask for an Asian Chamber Room special.

The Board of the Japan Society of Southern Colorado invites you to preview, meet the author, and attend a book signing of Paul Maruyama’s book “Escape from Manchuria” on Sunday, May 16th from 2:00 – 3:30 pm in the Carnegie Room at the Penrose Library.

This event is also intended to raise public awareness of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Fujiyoshida – Colorado Springs Sister City Relationship, to be observed in August of 2112.
